Resource management deals with using recycled materials in the construction of a new home as well as properly disposing of any waste generated when the new home is being built.  Through the use of Optimal Value Engineering and Advanced Framing Techniques, homes can be built using fewer materials and actually become more energy efficient in the process.  Other products that can be used include engineered I-Joists, OSB, SIPS (Structurally Insulated Panels), and finger jointed studs.  It is also important to use materials that are renewable as well as materials that will have the longest life span.

The following is a diagram showing how a SIPS panel is put together.
